One Direction Controversy: Encouraging fans to get Tattoos!

One Direction ControversyThe One Direction Boys have sparked some controversy when they took to Twitter and Facebook asking there fans to show off their 1D ink for a chance to appear in the boys new movie.

As well as making some really catchy pop tunes the boys are becoming more well known for their tattoos and it was revealed that Harry Styles had got a new tattoo over the weekend. However the boys obsession with body art and social media has gotten them into a bit of trouble.

The hunky popstars were forces to delete posts that they had shared on social media networks that asked fans to send footage of their real 1D tattoos. What One Direction have failed to realise is that the majority of their fan base is under 18 and the legal age for a real tattoo is 18 or above. Here is a tweet the boys posted…

‘Have a real #1D tattoo? Show us! Submit a 90 sec YouTube video to 1d3dfan@gmail.com and show us why you should be in the @1D3Dmovie!’

A spokesman for the band has stated that it was posted by mistake and the boys really do not want to encourage underage tattoos…

“One Direction do not want to encourage any of their fans to get 1D tattoos.”

One Direction are currently on their Take Me Home tour and were playing Belfast last night with another show scheduled for tonight. Watch the official Comic Relief music video for One Way Or Another below…
